Constellation Brands, Inc. contacted Paula with a request to help them reconfigure their second floor offices in St. Helena, California. With this reconfigure, Constellation Brands mentioned they were going to be purchasing new office furniture for their San Francisco office location and solicited Paula for her suggestion of what to do with their former furniture which was in pristine condition. Paula not only helped Constellation Brands by offering an alternative to liquidation but she also took on a much larger project of reallocating their gently used furniture throughout the brands affiliated companies. While office furniture can be costly, Paula was able to upgrade the offices of a handful of wineries with beautiful pieces at a cost that was manageable. The wineries that benefited from this redistribution include Clos du Bois, Simi, Mondavi, Mission Bell, Wild Horse, and Gonzales. Overall, the redistribution efforts have been greatly successful and cost effective. Paula seamlessly managed to reallocate the furniture proving that she is not only skilled in move management but also invests herself in the reuse and repurpose of facilities to generate further savings. After serving the Constellation Brands wineries, the additional systems furniture product that was left over was then donated per Paula’s suggestion to non-profit clients of Facilities by Design which benefitted both Constellation Brands and the local community.

Paula's Project Thoughts...

I found this project very rewarding because it utilized my specialized abilities and highlighted my core values to reuse and recycle furniture rather than send it to landfill. The most challenging part of this project was the vast size of the inventory that needed to be itemized and relocated within a very short timeline.
